Six Feet Up is looking for a part-time Content Writer to help with researching, drafting and publishing blog posts, case studies, news items, award nominations, social copy, internal communications and more. If you’re familiar with producing online content (particularly highly technical content) and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Interview developers/engineers and review existing information to draft/publish blog posts, case studies and news items
  • Draft/schedule social media posts and engage with target audiences
  • Live tweet technical events (e.g. DjangoCon, Plone Conference, Python Web Conference)
  • Pull monthly analytics for social media, website, etc.
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Identify client needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Share internal communication updates
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
  • Update website content as needed

Your Experience:

  • Experience as a Content Writer or similar role — experience with technical writing is a plus!
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
