First RDF Implementation for Linguistic Project Goes Live

"The Long Now Foundation":http://www.longnow.org is pleased to announce a new website release for their Rosetta Project. The Rosetta Project strives to create a publicly accessible online archive of all documented human languages. Implemented by Six Feet Up, the new release features a unique RDF data structure to support language relationships. "Six Feet Up continues to be amazing in their productivity, professionalism, and innovation", says Laura Buszard-Welcher, Ph.D., Rosetta Project Archive Director. "Other linguistic projects have been talking about the desirability of RDF, but Rosetta is the first project to have implemented such a system." Calvin Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up's Director of Engineering, will be presenting the Rosetta RDF Refactoring project at the annual Plone Conference in Seattle on October 27th, 2006.
