IndyPy & Six Feet Up Co-Organize the 2013 Python Web Shootout

On Feb 26th. at The Speakeasy in Indianapolis four groups will show off how they built the same to-do app with four different Python web frameworks: Pyramid, Bottle, Flask, and Django. They have been working for a month on their projects and will demo them along with discussing what they learned.

Calvin Hendryx-Parker, CTO at Six Feet Up and Organizer of IndyPy will be running the event. "This event is for anyone interested in how these Python frameworks stack up whether you know Python or are just interested in seeing how Python is driving the web." said Hendryx-Parker.

The presenters from each team are:

  • Pyramid: Calvin Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up
  • Bottle: Nathan Davis, Angie's List
  • Flask: Pradeep Gowda
  • Django: Jason McLaughlin, DirectEmployers Foundation

The event is being sponsored by Angie's List, DirectEmployers Foundation, and Six Feet Up.

More information and registration can be found at http://www.meetup.com/python-182/.

After the event the apps and presentations will be available on GitHub at https://github.com/indypy/web-shootout.
