Six Feet Up Receives Recertification by WBENC as Woman-Owned Business

WBENC HighRes LogoSix Feet Up, a software company that helps IT teams develop, deploy, host and support enterprise-grade web projects, has been recertified as a Woman-Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Six Feet Up, who is also certified as WOSB through the U.S. Small Business Administration, initially received this nationally-recognized certification in 2009.

“We are proud to uphold our certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise,” said Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker, CEO and Co-Founder. “Our recertification is an indication of our commitment to diversity in the high tech industry as we proudly employ a large ratio of women in our team of experts dedicated to the development of custom solutions to manage data, sites and systems.”

WBENC certification is a meticulous process that includes an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. In order to receive WBENC certification, a business must be approved following an in-depth review of company records and a site inspection. The process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
