International Plone Patch-Up

Following the announcement of a Plone security vulnerability on February 1st, 2011, the Plone Community is mobilizing to help site owners proactively protect their websites during an International Plone Patch-Up.

The Plone Security Team will make the patch available on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 at 1600 GMT (11 am US ET) and strongly recommends all Plone sites be immediately patched or protected as the fix will make the details of the vulnerability public.

Plone site administrators are encouraged to ask questions on the Plone-Tuneup IRC channel. The Plone Community has pledged to assist with the  International Plone Patch-Up effort. If you are not an IRC user, you can still take advantage of this using Plone's live support channel.

Organizations running Plone that do not have in-house server administrators or a service agreement looking after their website are strongly encouraged to find consultancy companies on plone.org or contact their local users' groups.

As one of the leading Plone consulting companies in North America, Six Feet Up will be assisting with this international effort. Organizations interested in getting help with patching their Plone websites are invited to email sales@sixfeetup.com.
