KARL is an open source, web-based product for collaboration, organizational intranets and knowledge management. Boasting strong social networking features, it was developed by the Open Society Foundations (OSF) and is used by many international organizations, such as Oxfam GB, and OSF.
Balazs Ree, one of the KARL developers, will be presenting details of testing Javascript code by using KARL as an example. KARL deploys a complex user interface using AJAX, based on jQuery and the jQuery UI libraries. During Balazs' talk, he will cover some technologies that apply to Plone as well, such as QUnit, integration testing with Selenium and Continuous Integration with Hudson. He'll also cover best practices to make your Javascript code easily testable.
