Agenda:

  • 7 - 7:15 p.m.: Announcements and Introductions
  • "An Intro to Airflow" by Rocco Pascale, a Field Engineer at Astronomer
    • Anyone with Python knowledge can deploy a workflow using Apache Airflow — a platform created by the community to programmatically author, schedule and monitor workflows. The platform does not limit the scope of your pipelines; you can use it to build ML models, transfer data, manage your infrastructure and more. During this presentation, Rocco will share use cases and typical integration points/workflows.
  • 8:30 - 8:45 p.m.: Door Prizes
  • 8:45 - 9 p.m.: Networking and General Discussion

About Rocco:

Prior to his role as a Field Engineer at Astronomer, Rocco was a Data Engineer at Facebook and 1010data. Rocco’s goal is to not only solve problems, but create solutions. His focus is not just the task at hand, but the project as a whole. He believes that success of any project relies on following three principles: Simplicity, Consistency and Documentation.

All participants should RSVP via MeetingPlace.io.
