Women Working in IT 2011

Women Working in Technology (WWiT) is an annual conference presented by the Center for Information and Communication Sciences (CICS) with support from the College of Communication, Information and Media at Ball State University.  The conference is geared towards women working in the wide variety of technology and emerging media professions.  The WWiT conference aims to empower women to work towards challenging goals with the support of others.

Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker and Calvin Hendryx-Parker of Six Feet Up have both been tapped as leaders of the "Change From the Ground Up" panel session.

The four person panel session will explore the unique experience of starting a business. Three Indiana startups will share the story of what made them take the plunge, what surprised them and what one thing they would recommend for someone thinking about starting their own business. Six Feet Up, Inc., a privately-held WBE-certified woman-owned company that develops custom open source web applications to help manage business online, is one of those businesses.
