Another Sixie Voted In As A Plone Foundation Member

Six Feet Up is pleased to announce their Senior Template Developer Chrissy Wainwright has been accepted as a Plone Foundation member, which brings the number of Sixies on the membership team to five.

Chrissy WainwrightPlone is one of the top 2% open source software projects and is a powerful enterprise-ready web content management system. It is backed by the Plone Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support for the development and marketing of Plone, and is modeled after similar ventures such as the Apache Software Foundation. The Plone Foundation members are the legal owner of the Plone codebase, trademarks, and domain names. Their goal is to ensure that Plone remains the premier open source content management system and that they broaden its acceptance and visibility.

A few times each year, the Plone Foundation votes people who have contributed significantly to the community in as members. Chrissy Wainwright joins about 100 other members in the world recognized for their efforts in promoting and growing the Plone CMS, therefore recognizing her talent as a Plone theming developer and trainer.

Chrissy, who lives in New Hampshire, has been part of the Six Feet Up Plone development team since 2008. She has worked on dozens of Plone and KARL development projects, using a variety of template development techniques, such as traditional plone theming, collective.xdv, and Diazo/plone.app.theming. The breadth of her experience makes her a sought-after speaker and a core member of the Six Feet Up team.
