Calvin Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up’s CTO and AWS Community Hero, was invited to participate in a Tech Talk — Wipro Microservices and Software Optimizations for Intel-based Cloud Instances — that delves into how Wipro integrated with Intel’s OCI solution to bring surfonomics to the hybrid environment.
In his article “Build a Path, Confidence to the Enterprise Cloud,” originally published on the Gestalt IT website, Calvin writes about how to successfully transition your workloads to the cloud and maximize the benefits therein.
“Everyone can agree that the promise of the cloud is enticing. The ability to only pay for what you eat — and to scale at a moment’s notice — sounds like a panacea,” Calvin writes. “In many overloaded operations teams, deploying workloads in the cloud turns into an inefficient lift-and-shift to over-sized cloud instances that hedge against outages. If the organization doesn’t have an active DevOps mindset from the get-go, failure is guaranteed.”
