Calvin Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up’s CTO and AWS Community Hero, shared a poster about one of the company’s IMPACTFUL projects — where the team developed an app to predict lightning strikes before they occur using Django and AWS — at SciPy 2022.

The 21st annual Scientific Computing with Python Conference (SciPy) was held in Austin, Texas on July 11-17. The conference allows participants from all types of organizations to showcase their latest projects, learn from skilled users and developers, and collaborate on code development. The full program included two days of tutorials followed by three days of presentations, and concluded with two days of developer sprints on projects of interest to attendees.
