Following the recent release of Plone 4, Six Feet Up is pleased to announce it has launched a Plone Demo Site that shows off the Plone 4 features, as well as provides a series of interactive tutorials to visitors.
The new Demo Site allows users to log in as a content contributor, content reviewer or site administrator. These three basic levels of administration found in Plone out of the box allow visitors to get a full understanding of the functions and features in Plone 4, which include a 50% increase in speed, a new default theme and the integration of TinyMCE as the default editor.
The new Plone Demo Site also features content provided by wikiHow and makes it easy for visitors to play with existing content that is already formatted. In addition, it comes with a "Guided Tour" section filled with various tutorials on popular features in Plone where visitors are encouraged to play with content. Since each visitor gets his/her own "guided tour" environment, they can customize it as much as they want without impacting other users' experience.
Tutorials offer step-by-step instructions on topics, such as working with slideshows, managing collections, and assigning & editing portlets. The tutorials are designed to help visitors experience a wider range of Plone 4's capabilities and get more out of the Demo Site.
Whether visitors are new to Plone or are considering an upgrade to Plone 4, the new Plone Demo Site developed and hosted by Six Feet Up provides an opportunity to explore the most current version of the award-winning CMS thoroughly.
