Six Feet Up Upgrades Clients to KARL 3

May 28, 2010

Six Feet Up is pleased to announce that both websites for OXFAM GB and Eurasia have been upgraded from KARL 2 to KARL 3.

KARL (Knowledge And Resource Locator) is an open source web system for collaboration, organizational intranets, and knowledge management. Organizations like OXFAM GB and Eurasia use it to provide their distributed communities and offices with simple and tightly integrated tools to organize and share information.

KARL is an actively developed project with major work being performed by the KARL Development Team. The latest KARL 3 version adds many bug fixes over KARL 2, and provides increased performance, stability, reliability and overall quality. KARL 3 is easier to customize and enhance. In addition, it comes with great UI and feature improvements.

Six Feet Up provides managed hosting services for KARL sites. To perform an upgrade of this major version change from KARL 2 to KARL 3, Six Feet Up leveraged its experience working with the KARL Development Team, and provided customer representatives to ensure a smooth transition.

With the upgrade for OXFAM and Eurasia to KARL 3, all of Six Feet Up's hosted KARL customers are now using the latest version of KARL to meet their needs.
