New tool, Spotlight, makes member featuring and management a snap
"Who's on your team?" can be a critical part of marketing in Healthcare, Higher Education and other service oriented enterprises. Six Feet Up developed Spotlight as a way to centrally manage hundreds of faculty, staff, student and alumni profiles for Higher Education clients. The tool can be customized to the needs of any organization. In Healthcare doctors, therapists, nurses, and others can be categorized by specialty and location.
"Spotlight takes all the hassle out of managing member profiles while making it easy to show those people off on various webpages." said Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker, CEO of Six Feet Up. "It also uses faceted search to easily narrow search results by category or type."
Based on the section or page of a site the visitor is on, the matching segment of the Spotlight directory can be displayed. This allows for a global directory while only displaying relevant profiles at each location. Spotlight widgets can also rotate through profiles to highlight people on a page.
Spotlight runs on top of the Plone Enterprise CMS and can work in concert with Lineage (also by Six Feet Up) to share profiles across multiple sites.
