Wichert Akkerman, the release manager for the Plone 3.0 release, has announced the Plone 3.0-beta1 release. With this release the Plone 3.0 tree is now feature complete: all new features are included this release. Some are optional and not enabled by default (iterate staging, OpenID authentication, the new NuPlone skin).
