Aspen Valley Hospital came to Six Feet Up looking to upgrade their private intranet site, migrate all content and host the site with Six Feet Up.
The intranet was on Plone 3.3.2 and Aspen Valley wanted to upgrade to Plone 4.3. The primary focus of the upgrade and migration was to improve workflow process and facilitate content syndication from numerous departments.
Six Feet Up set up per department permissions, within the site, that provides a private area for inter-department collaboration. In order to ensure the proper security measures were in place, the Plone user authentication product, Login Lockout, was installed. A SSL certificate was also configured. After the new intranet was setup, Six Feet Up migrated all of the existing content.
Aspen Valley’s intranet was migrated to a new Cloud 6 Virtual Machine. The new setup allows users to access the intranet without being on the same network, or having to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
One-on-one developer training and thorough documentation was provided to Aspen Valley to properly set up permissions and manage their new intranet.
