On Thursday, October 1, 2020, the Women & Hi Tech Virtual Leading Light Awards and Scholarship Gala (LLAs) were held, and for the first time in the event's 20-year history the event was held completely online on the LoudSwarm Platform.

The organization was in search of a solution that would allow them to host the event safely online, amidst the unprecedented times of the Covid-19 pandemic. They needed a solution that would allow them to engender the same sense of community-building and networking potential that has characterized past events.

Carol Ganz, Six Feet Up's Director of Client Experiences, who sits on the Women & Hi Tech Board of Directors, pointed event organizers to LoudSwarm —Six Feet Up's full-service virtual event platform. Through LoudSwarm, the organization was able to achieve its goals.

Thanks to LoudSwarm's integration of Zoom video conferencing, pre-recorded material, and Slack chat, participants were able to enjoy and participate in the award ceremony. Six Feet Up also helped them make use of Zoom breakout groups for their networking section, which allowed participants to form a deeper connection with attendees in the event by providing a space for casual conversation in smaller groups.
