Plone 4 Has Been Released

The Plone Foundation has announced that Plone 4 has been released and is available. Plone 4 offers new features such as

• More powerful management of users and groups
• Searching and indexing improvements
  
• A reduced memory footprint
• Many Plone 3 add-ons now are part of basic Plone 4

One of the greatest features of Plone 4 is the ability to upgrade easily. Customers who are on an earlier release of Plone can upgrade and experience a native Plone that no longer needs GRUF, includes TinyMCE as the default editor and has improved Dublin Core enhancements. Plone 4 runs on Zope 2.12 and Python 2.6.
